Prysmian Telecom Cables and Systems – major suppliers of a broad portfolio of optical fibre
solutions across the North American market – will later this month unveil several new products at
the FTTH Conference and Expo in Nashville, 21-25 September, as it looks to build on its existing
successes across the continent.
Prysmian, whose North American headquarters and local Optical Cables factory is based at
Lexington, SC, supplies most of the leading carriers in the United States and Canada – with a
particular focus on local access and last mile applications.
“We have a long and proud history of achievement and innovation in this market and visitors
to our stand will see all the latest examples of our ongoing commitment to delivering the
developments that the market is looking for,” said Lexington based VP North America, Brian Di
Lascia.
“As members of the FTTH council since 2001, I’m particularly pleased to be unveiling these
exciting new products at the FTTH Conference in Nashville. We are expecting a lot of interest as
our customers continue to look to install fibre everywhere in a bid to meet the needs of this
increasingly bandwidth hungry market”.
Prysmian comes to the FTTH Conference and Expo on the back of another huge success in the
Fibre market – the announcement that it has reached the "1million installed Fibre km mark for its
Sirocco®, Blown Fibre System.
