Converged PON

Passive Optical Networks (PONs) utilise splitter assemblies to increase the number of homes fed from a single fibre. In a Converged PON, optical splitters
are concentrated in a single location in a Fibre Distribution Hub (FDH), from which all customer fibre connections are made. Splitter management can be
maximised to achieve full utilisation before investment in additional splitters. Sirocco can be used throughout this network topology for cost deferment and to simplify network planning/installation.
