Fibre Connectivity
Prysmian offers a full complimentary range of products for Fibre connectivity within the
Sirocco system. Solutions are available for the active management of fibres within all parts of the
network - the central office, external environment or customer premises.
The central office products are designed to give maximum flexibility whilst controlling
fibres to the minimum recommended bend radii to limit any losses. Our external environment products
are designed to protect fibres in enclosures against any ingress of water along with controlling
fibres to minimise any losses within the network. A large number of different solutions are
available for different applications. Solutions for customer premises (either MDU or SDU
applications) are ergonomically designed to minimise visual impact with the home / office but also
offer control of the fibre and offer flexibility where required.
Overall, fibre connectivity is a critical part of any fibre network whether for FTTH,
Structured Cabling or a traditional access network. Failure to control, protect, manage and
manipulate fibres in a correct manner can result in major problems for operators in the short or
long term. Fibre connectivity products should therefore be carefully selected on their capabilities
