The European Investment Bank
(EIB) finalised a
100million loan
to fund the European research
and development programmes of
PrysmianGroup over the period
2013-2016. The loan represents
about 50% of the planned
investment expenditure in Europe
for the period, and one third of
PrysmianGroup’s R&D global budget
of some
300million.

to support projects developed
in Prysmian’s R&D centres in
France, Great Britain, Holland,
Spain, Germany and Italy. It

Prysmian Group supported the Fibre
To The Home Council of Middle East
and North Africa conference held in
Marrakech, Morocco. The event was
attended by 300 representatives
of large regional and international
companies, industry experts and
stakeholders from several Arabic
and other countries representing
the public and the private sectors.
The Group showcased all of its
FTTH products, in particular
preconnectorised cables, pre-
terminated customer boxes and
riser and flextube cable samples.
Prysmian Group held the “Voice
of the Industry” speaker slot and
explainedwhy bend-insensitive
fibres are the future of FTTH
applications.
Prysmian’s achievement marked
amajor breakthrough and
represented a great result, with the
Group alsomoving up the general
ranking from 34th to 23rd place.
KWDWebranking, the only global
corporatewebsite ranking based
on stakeholder demands, has
been conducted by KWDigital in
collaborationwith Lundquist since
1997, making it the first andmost
transparent ranking of corporate
websites.
