STATEMENT OF CASH FLOWS
Net cash flow provided by operating activities in 2014 was
not affected by the decrease of Euro 2 million in working
capital; therefore, after taking account of Euro 72 million in
tax payments and Euro 36 million in dividends received from
associates and joint ventures, net cash flow from operating
activities in the period was a positive Euro 363 million.
Net operating investments in 2014 amounted to Euro 155
million and mostly concerned structural projects involving
the cable ship owned by Prysmian PowerLink Services Ltd
and the purchase of the Pikkala site in Finland, as well as
projects to increase production capacity and industrial effi-
ciency. More details can be found in Note 1. Property, plant
and equipment of these Explanatory Notes.
Cash flows provided by financing activities were influenced
by the distribution of dividends, amounting to Euro 90
million, the repayment of the Credit Agreement 2010 for
Euro 184 million, and by the parallel receipt of the EIB
Loan for Euro 100 million. Finance costs paid net of finance
income received came to Euro 110 million.
