Prysmian wins Premio Mercurio for Italian-German business excellence

Prysmian has been awarded the prestigious Premio Mercurio at the Italian Embassy in Berlin – a recognition of excellence in Italian-German economic cooperation. The award celebrates companies that stand out for their contribution to strengthening bilateral business relations, innovation, and long-term partnership between the two countries.

Prysmian Germany was represented by Sezgin Islamoglu, Central Eastern Europe Country Manager, who accepted the award on behalf of the entire team.

Prysmian is one of the leading domestic cable manufacuters in Germany, with over 1,000 employees and playing a central part in the most important projects in energy infastucture upgrades in the country. Prysmian’s operations includes five production sites located across the country, including a global centre of excellence for submarine telecom cables in Nordenham.

“We are so proud of this special recognition. Prysmian is at the heart of Germany’s energy transition, and we are also a key enabler of leading German industrial processes with our specialized cables. What’s more, Germany is also home to a global centre of excellence in submarine telecom, which connects the digital world under the sea. On this special occasion, I would like to thank two groups in particular: our customers, whose trust has built this long-term success story, and above all our employees across the country. Prysmian is a global company with Italian roots, but we are equally proud to be a strong local player – thanks to the passion and commitment of our teams."
