  • Prysmian scores 96/100 in Environment

  • Group scores 100/100 for policies and measures across all four assessment areas

Prysmian scored 87/100 in the 2026 EcoVadis Sustainability Assessment, a 10-point increase compared with 2025, reflecting continued improvements in the Group’s sustainability management systems.

EcoVadis assesses the quality of companies’ sustainability management systems across policies, actions and reporting. Its assessment covers four areas: Environment, Labor & Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. Prysmian scored 96/100 in Environment, 89/100 in Ethics, 86/100 in Sustainable Procurement and 79/100 in Labor & Human Rights.

Turning sustainability commitments into action

In 2026, Prysmian strengthened supplier traceability and refined how it assesses ESG performance when selecting suppliers. The Group also developed a new human rights due diligence process to help prevent violations within its own workforce. Prysmian plans to extend the process first to suppliers and then across its wider value chain as it prepares for forthcoming regulatory requirements.

Sustainability is embedded in Prysmian’s Accelerating Growth strategy. The Group aims to generate 55% of its revenues from sustainability-linked solutions by 2028, up from 43% in 2024, and has the ambition to achieve net-zero Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions by 2035. Its priorities include improving energy efficiency, increasing the use of renewable energy, advancing circularity, developing lower-impact solutions and strengthening sustainability standards across its supply chain.

Prysmian scored 100/100 for policies and measures in each of the four assessment areas, alongside full scores for the coverage of sustainability initiatives across the organization. These results are distinct from the Group’s overall scores in each assessment area. The scorecard highlights strengths across Environment, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement. These results, together with the initiatives introduced during 2026, underscore the central role Prysmian recognizes for all actors across its value chain in advancing responsible business practices.

Srinivas Siripurapu, Chief Innovation, Sustainability and R&D Officer at Prysmian, said: “The 10-point increase in our EcoVadis score recognizes the work our people are doing to put sustainability at the heart of Prysmian’s growth. Innovation is central to that effort, helping us develop solutions that support the energy transition and digital transformation while reducing our environmental impact. We will build on this progress by strengthening our sustainability practices across our operations and working with customers, suppliers and partners throughout our value chain.”

Maria Cristina Bifulco, Chief Strategy, IR, M&A & Communication Officer at Prysmian, continued: “ESG ratings are not simply a recognition of our progress: they are a tool for continuous improvement. They help us identify where we need to do more and translate our stakeholders’ expectations into concrete challenges for our business. This external perspective pushes us to raise our standards, strengthen accountability and turn feedback into measurable actions across our operations and value chain.”

Prysmian continues to strengthen responsible supply chain management through supplier due diligence, engagement and sustainability assessments. This work complements its wider priorities in decarbonization, circularity, biodiversity and social impact.
