Prysmian Group will showcase its latest innovations for broadband rollout in Germany at BREKO Fibre Fair 2018, on March 13th to 14th at Messe Conference Center in Frankfurt am Main (booth 152).
This year’s event will feature high-level discussions on several issues, such as the latest strategies for FTTH deployment, the new trends in financing FTTH and the future-proof solutions based on fibre optics.
Prysmian’s stand will feature the Group’s latest products for the telecom business, with specific focus on the local and global markets. As a driver of innovation, Prysmian Group continues to develop and provide cutting edge products to meet the evolving needs of its customers and the telecom cable industry.
At BREKO Fibre Fair 2018 the Company will showcase a full range of cable solutions as the Prysmian Microducts cables, used worldwide and proven in countless applications. These cables are based around flexible ducted systems with microtubes, housing a selection of miniaturised fibre optic cables. With microducts, cable loops or parallel ducts needn’t be stored along the feeder duct, saving material costs and installation time.
In addition, the Group’s product portfolio will also consist of the state-of-the-art solutions including FlexTube®, which features 2112 fibres, the highest fibre count for a flexible micromodule-based cable to be installed to date; OAsys, the family of products for Optical connectivity for next-generation performance, an established technology that is constantly being upgraded and improved to provide customers with a series of significant benefits for the planning and operation of their network; the xMJ family of joints used for access applications within the external optical network and can be used for track, spur and loop applications with the capacity to accommodate a wide variety of cables such as loose tube, central loose tube, Flextube and blown fibre.
For the first year, at the Prysmian Group stand will be available a live cable jointing demonstrations throughout the day, with LMJ and Splice Tray live demonstration, Flextube / Loose tube comparison, LMJ Routing / Gland explanation and DIY Flextube stripping in comparison to Loose tube.
As the owner of the only European technology for the production of optical fibre, the Company will also be actively engaged in the discussion during the session of the Conference “FTTH broadband expansion in rural areas” on March 13th with Prysmian Manager Piet Lock, Product Manager Telecom Connectivity of Prysmian Group.
“We are strongly committed to supporting Governments and Telecom operators in developing new broadband networks by continuing to invest in optical fibre and cable capacity, as well as in new technologies and know-how,” states Piet Lock.
“The digital transformation goes through the development of new broadband and ultra-broadband fibre optic telecommunication networks and only the fibre can provide the necessary speed and reliability. These strategic infrastructures must be based on a high quality and designed to provide high performance over time so as to be ready for the services of the future like 5G, smart cities, smart transportation and smart homes” ends Lock.
