This is backed up by local committees and programs including mental health campaigns, sports activities, the Wellbeing Week and the Wellbeing Index, measuring individual and team wellbeing.

Acting for local communities

One of the pillars of Prysmian’s sustainability strategy is engagement with local communities, forming part of the value created by the Group. Approximately €1 million was invested in 2025 in the form of grants, donations in kind and volunteer hours for social and educational initiatives. These included scholarships in Kenya through the Waste No Talent initiative, Alice for Children projects, and support for La Casa di Elena and for UNHCR, reflecting a holistic ESG approach and a commitment to having a lasting positive impact.

Human Rights

In our commitment to sustainable development, we pledge not to be involved in activities that directly or indirectly violate human rights. The protection of human dignity and equality is at the heart of our corporate identity.

  • In 2017, we introduced our Human Rights Policy, based on international standards such as the Charter of Human Rights, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the principles of the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the United Nations Global Compact initiative. This policy is applied across all our locations and activities.
  • In 2018, we implemented a Human Rights Due Diligence process to identify potential human rights impacts of our operations.
  • Following the Due Diligence process, the initial assessment of all production sites initiated in 2024 was completed in 2025, with audits of 6 high-risk plants carried out. Our suppliers are also required to respect human rights through a specific supply chain due diligence process.
