Prysmian Group supplies cables for the LOMA BLANCA wind farm in Argentina

The Loma Blanca projects are part of the OBOR (“One Belt, One Road”) initiatives and of both the RenovAr 1.5 and GENREN programmes for the supply of electrical energy coming from renewable sources in Argentina.
The wind farms are located on both sides of national route No. 3 between Puerto Madryn and Trelew. The energy produced by the GOLDWIND HH100 3.2MW turbines is equivalent to supplying about 430,000 homes and will be turned over to the Argentine Interconnection System (S.A.D.I. - Sistema Argentino de Interconexion).
Prysmian supplied a total of 217 km of RETENAX 33 kV aluminium cables. Cables were produced in the Group’s La Rosa factory near Buenos Aires, Argentina and were delivered at the end of January.
“We are very proud to take part in the increasingly strategic transformation of the wind power industry”
