Prysmian’s German Transmission Team Meets in Düsseldorf to Strengthen Collaboration Across Borders

On October 23, Prysmian’s teams involved in German HVDC projects came together in Düsseldorf for a dynamic and collaborative event. This gathering brought together 185 colleagues from our offices in Düsseldorf, Würzburg, Bayreuth, Berlin, as well as from Milan headquarter— reinforcing the strong ties that unite our international teams.

Germany continues to be a strategic center for Prysmian’s Transmission Division, with offices located close to key installation sites and customer hubs. The event offered a valuable opportunity to connect, share perspectives, and align on common goals, reinforcing Prysmian’s commitment to excellence and collaboration across borders. Indeed, Prysmian is playing a pivotal role in advancing energy cable systems that will carry clean wind-generated electricity from Germany’s northern coastlines to its industrialized southern regions. Groundbreaking land-based interconnection projects—such as SuedLink, SuedOstLink, A-Nord, DC34, and DC31—alongside export cables for offshore wind farms like Balwin 1 & 2, Dolwin 5, Dolwin 4/Borwin 4, Ijmuiden Ver Alpha, Nederwiek 1, and Nor 11-1, are key enablers of Europe’s energy transition. These projects will significantly contribute to the continent’s decarbonization targets and a more sustainable energy future.

The agenda focused on key priorities for our business: an update on the German market, the vital role of our teams operating in Germany, the introduction of the new organizational structure within the Transmission business unit, and our strategic outlook for the future. These discussions reaffirmed once again Prysmian’s dedication to excellence and our proactive approach in navigating the evolving energy landscape. In the second part of the event, participants enjoyed a dynamic and engaging activity: a creative challenge designed to foster collaboration and originality. Each team member had the opportunity to express important concepts in an innovative and playful way, turning strategic ideas into unique interpretations that highlighted both expertise and creativity.

This event marked an important step in building stronger relationships and fostering a unified vision across geographies—because together we build and together we power the future.

“A wonderful occasion to recharge our energy and reinforce our spirit of collaboration. Thank you to all the colleagues who joined and made this celebration of the German Projects truly special”
