On October 23, Prysmian’s teams involved in German HVDC projects came together in Düsseldorf for a dynamic and collaborative event. This gathering brought together 185 colleagues from our offices in Düsseldorf, Würzburg, Bayreuth, Berlin, as well as from Milan headquarter— reinforcing the strong ties that unite our international teams.
Germany continues to be a strategic center for Prysmian’s Transmission Division, with offices located close to key installation sites and customer hubs. The event offered a valuable opportunity to connect, share perspectives, and align on common goals, reinforcing Prysmian’s commitment to excellence and collaboration across borders. Indeed, Prysmian is playing a pivotal role in advancing energy cable systems that will carry clean wind-generated electricity from Germany’s northern coastlines to its industrialized southern regions. Groundbreaking land-based interconnection projects—such as SuedLink, SuedOstLink, A-Nord, DC34, and DC31—alongside export cables for offshore wind farms like Balwin 1 & 2, Dolwin 5, Dolwin 4/Borwin 4, Ijmuiden Ver Alpha, Nederwiek 1, and Nor 11-1, are key enablers of Europe’s energy transition. These projects will significantly contribute to the continent’s decarbonization targets and a more sustainable energy future.
