Prysmian delivers integrated offshore installation solutions that reduce risk and ensure performance across the full lifecycle of subsea cable systems.

The company supports projects end‑to‑end, from subsea surveys and design & engineering to installation, protection and decommissioning, providing full engineering assurance including route design and cable protection analysis. Offshore operations are managed globally using the industry’s largest dedicated cable‑laying fleet with eight modern vessels and a complete range of burial tools suitable for all seabed conditions and water depths.

The offer is completed by advanced Inspection, Maintenance & Repair (IMR) services for fast and effective interventions, and further strengthened by the acquisition of ACSM, expanding Prysmian’s offshore installation capabilities.

Prysmian Alessandro Volta

Prysmian Alessandro Volta is a DP3 ship built for the most challenging worldwide cable installation works. This cutting-edge vessel boasts three carousels with a total capacity of 19,500 tonnes and her system of tensioners able to sustain a maximum tension of 60 tons, making it one of the highest cable loading capacity vessels in the market.
