Prysmian to continue building on partnership in second season with Andretti Formula E
The cable industry worldwide leader to renew sponsorship also for the 2023/2024 ABB FIA Formula E world championship

Prysmian, world leader in the energy and telecom cable systems industry announce the renewal of the official partnership with Andretti Formula E also for the 2023/2024 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, after an exciting Season 9 that culminated with Jake Dennis winning the Formula E Drivers World Championship.
“Cable and optical fibre technologies are key enablers of energy transition, electrification and digitalization processes. In particular, in the e-mobility industry they are essential for cars, charging infrastructures and related grid integration” stated Prysmian CEO-designate Massimo Battaini. “We have been the first cable maker to partner with a Formula E team as major sponsor, with the goal - as leader in the sector - of promoting innovation. We are excited to continue building on this partnership and join forces to continue creating value”, Battaini added.
Prysmian will continue to support Andretti Formula E also by providing solutions for the transmission of power and information across all of the Team’s sustainable electrification efforts. In Season 9 key innovations such as the in-garage PRY-CAM provided valuable energy-usage data and insights. The Andretti Formula E and Prysmian partnership is based on the shared core values of innovation, sustainability, challenge and performance, and the aim to keep on building these in their second season of partnership. With this initiative, Prysmian aims at further strengthening its “Sustain to Lead” strategy and value proposition of innovation and sustainable development also in the strategic sectors of e-mobility, renewable power transmission and distribution, and digital solutions.

Andretti Formula E heads into the highly anticipated landmark 10th season having already achieved 10 wins, 12 poles and a World Driver Championship with involvement in the series dating back to Formula E’s inaugural race in 2014. The team will kick off Season 10 of the Formula E competition at the season opener in Mexico City on January 13, 2024.
Created in 2011, the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship is a single-seater motorsport championship for electric cars. Since the 2020–21 season, Formula E is a FIA World Championship, making it the first single-seater racing series outside of Formula One to be given world championship status.
