Prysmian and Andretti Formula E

Prysmian first joined forces with Andretti Formula E for the 2022/2023 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, which witnessed Andretti driver Jake Dennis clinch the Formula E Driver’s World Championship award. The experience was so successful that Prysmian and Andretti Formula E have renewed their partnership for the event’s 10th edition in 2024 with drivers Jake Dennis and Norman Nato.

As a major sponsor, Prysmian is strengthening its value proposition by promoting innovation in the strategic sector of e-mobility. The Company provides cable and sensor solutions to Andretti Global to support power transmission and information across all of the team’s sustainable electrification efforts embodied in its competition car, the Porsche 99x Electric. The in-garage PRY-CAM monitoring system provides the team with valuable energy-usage data and insights.

Created in 2011, the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship is a single-seater motorsport competition for electric cars. Formula E became part of the FIA World Championship during the 2020-21 season, making it the first single-seater racing series outside of Formula One to be given world championship status. Andretti Global, a mainstay of Formula E, has been successful throughout the nine seasons at racetracks worldwide.

Prysmian manufacturers high voltage cables to connect the converter, inverter, generator and battery in hybrid cars, fuel cell vehicles (FCVs) and all-electrical vehicles (EVs), as well as PRY EV cables to connect EVs to charging stations. The partnership with Andretti Autosport reflects shared values of challenge, drive, sustainability, and innovation.
